Good Study skills Tips

Study, the very word gets on our nerves. It’s the last thing we want to do. We can do anything but study. But guess what! It’s the easiest job! It’s something which all of us can do, and can do seemingly well. Most of us, most of the times, consider studying as a black horned demon with big pointed teeth! There is a reason for that. Studying is an art. And we do not know how to administer it. Well if you are going through the same problem, if you too can’t handle studies anymore, this is where you can learn how to! I will teach you the tricks to face the demon and conquer it. Just scroll down the page and follow the tips and experience the miracle in your life!
Follow my DID strategy. DID says, “Decide”, “Implement” and “Deliver”. It means the first step is to decide that you have to study; you have to resolve that now is the time. It’s now or never again. So pull up your socks, sack all the fun games for once in your cupboard and pull out your text books. The next catch is that deciding merely is not enough! You have to put your decision in action. Ultimately your actions speak, not your thoughts. Your thoughts are valueless unless they get voice through your actions. So make a plan and go about it religiously. The next part is the output you get. Your deliverance is your achievement. The first part is the input, second is the catalyst to get the third part, i.e., the desired outcome. My tips will help you implement this model.

How to implement the DID model:

Think Positive and believe in yourself: Most of the times I have seen, students, of any age group, do not believe that they can be outstanding, that they have the potential to study efficiently and effectively. You too could belong to the same category. If this is so, break free from the shackles of such negativity and experience the joy of confidence. Believe in yourself and take a free flight in the air. Think positive. Say it aloud to yourself every day you wake up “I can do it, I have to do it and I will do it”. The results will be fascinating.

Pen down your plan:

Taking a flight in the air alone will take you nowhere. So as soon as you decide that you have to do it and you have to study, make a plan, a proper schedule. Pen down your thoughts in an organized manner on a piece of paper and put it on a wall where you can take a look at it every moment. Make a review chart where you can see whether you are performing as planned or not. I am putting forth some suggestions for making a good plan:

Do not over estimate or underestimate yourself.

Set achievable targets. Study in short and regular intervals. Your mind needs to be relaxed frequently and you need to be stress free. So to maintain your efficiency, you need to take frequent breaks. Your recreation is very important to maintain a positive attitude, so sack your fun games only till the time you are studying.
Take sample sleep. It will keep you fresh.

Exercise every day.

It will help you sustaining your energy levels. Implement your plan, and review it often: A good plan is the building block. Without it, you will not be able to do anything. But believe me, making a plan alone cannot help you secure good marks. Implement all that you have written in your plan and review it every day, whether you have followed your plans accordingly or not. Compensate for the shortcomings and correct the loopholes.

Never Discuss your plans:

This is the last thing you should do. Never tell anyone about what you plan. Never imitate anyone. Remember, you have your own capacity and way of doing things, which may not match anyone else. So do what you think you can, not what you see others are doing.
You have to compete with yourself. So with each day that passes, your total days get shorter and you will face a tougher competition. Do not be afraid of being tested. Remember, unless you sit for your exam, you cannot score. So be happy that exams are approaching, and at the same time prepare to strike them hard with all your might! All the best!
