We all want to study efficiently
First of, in order to benefit most out of your studying and to study most efficiently you will need a good studying place. Some study at home, some study at college, some study in public library. Choose your favorite place and always study there if possible. In my opinion the best place for study is a public library.
Efficient studying
If you study at home there can be many distractions around you, starting with your computer. Studying at college’s library is a better idea. The best idea is to study in public library because it is a very motivational place. Many other students study there also. Library is a very quite environment and you usually have access to all the books you need. If you will study in library remember that they have opening hours so you cannot study there at night. This is the only drawback. If you are planning to study long then it is a good idea to get yourself a good and comfortable chair, but no too good otherwise you might fall asleep while reading. A discomfort chair can cause pain in the back or in the neck and feeling pain is not a good thing while you study.
On the other hand, as mentioned before, a chair that is too comfortable might make you sleepy. Next very important factor is that your study place has enough light! Studying at low light might damage your eyes over time. When you study before the exam your should be really concentrated all the time and advices mentioned above might help you stay that way.
Remember that it is not a good thing to study for 16 hours in a row. If you try to do too much studying at one time, you will get tired and your studying will not be effective. To study efficiently, space the work you have to do over shorter periods of time. In order to study efficiently taking short breaks will also help because it will restore your energy and help you stay focused for longer periods. If you study for exam make sure to take enough time to go trough the whole topic. Don’t postpone your study time, study every day accordingly.

[...] “The key to concentration is in the perfect balance of different stimulants”, says Stephen Christman, a professor on university of Ohio. In this case, music can be a really great stimulus. A part of brain will always be busy with listening to the music in background and thus automatically increase your level of alert but also level of distraction. But listening to classic or instrumental music will not make you lose concentration! More of the opposite – as already mentioned above – while reading, writing or learning in general – classic or instrumental music will help you study. The best music to study was discovered to be: Bach, Mozart and Händl music -> but this is more of a personal choice. If you don’t like classic music at all that you should try some other music, but it should be a peaceful and steady music (preferably with no lyrics). Prior to study is it also good to stretch your legs and get some fresh air – you will get relaxed and your body will produce endorfines which are good against being tense and under stress.
