  • classic music (like Mozart) will allow you to study better overall,
  • soft electronic music (like chill-out) will improve your creativity,
  • listening to dancing music will wake you up (obviously),
  • listening to loud music with intense bass will make you learn by heart better.
  • Preparing for exam or preparing a presentation for work can be an easier task if you listen to music while doing it, american psychologists discovered. The key to concentration is in the perfect balance of different stimulants.

“The key to concentration is in the perfect balance of different stimulants”, says Stephen Christman, a professor on university of Ohio. In this case, music can be a really great stimulus. A part of brain will always be busy with listening to the music in background and thus automatically increase your level of alert but also level of distraction. But listening to classic or instrumental music will not make you lose concentration! More of the opposite – as already mentioned above – while reading, writing or learning in general – classic or instrumental music will help you study. The best music to study was discovered to be: Bach, Mozart and Händl music -> but this is more of a personal choice.
If you don’t like classic music at all that you should try some other music, but it should be a peaceful and steady music (preferably with no lyrics). Prior to study it is also good to stretch your legs and get some fresh air – you will get relaxed and your body will produce endorfines which are good against being tense and under stress.
