Educational System in Europe and the United States
Education has been made universal. However, not all countries have good education. There are countries that cannot afford it, and there are other countries that tops among the others because of the quality of their education. There are even some that go to foreign countries just to have the quality education that they want. However, there are also times when people go to other countries for education because it is cheaper there. The cost of education should never sacrifice its quality. This is what’s good about other countries because though the cost of their education is considerably more affordable, the quality is still good. When you want to study abroad, you need to have a research first on the countries that have the highest quality of education but still affordable.
Most people compare the educational system in Europe and in the United States
. However, this cannot be really done because there is no specific educational system in Europe. Europe is a continent, and the educational systems differ from one country to another. However, here is an overview of what to expect in the educational system in Europe. Each country in Europe has different educational system. It took a long time before to for the European Union to agree on the minimum standards of education for the whole continent. These minimum standards are for all students who will graduate from school in order to be accepted in the universities. One standard that they have agreed upon is the mandatory learning of 2 foreign languages by all pupils. One should be learned within 5 years, and the other one within 3 years. This is the reason why young Europeans are known for their language skills. There are country leaders who applaud this standard implemented in Europe, because it can make the students see how important it is to learn a new foreign language. There are countries in Europe that hold back students thought they are of age to graduate if they have not performed well enough. They will not be allowed to apply to universities. The school would make sure that their students are ready to take on the newer challenges encountered in universities. As for the educational system in the United States, even the people there admit that their educational system has been known to produce students who are unaware that much of the world and its different cultures. This aspect of education is very much important because Americans won’t just stay in their country for the rest of their lives, and a lot of immigrants from different countries are already living in the United States. However, though the educational system of the United States has this flaw, it is still known as one of the world’s finest. This is probably because it is a powerful country and the economy can support a lot of educational programs.
